AutoRek to debate the future of financial controls at Sibos

AutoRek, the experts in financial data management software, will be exclusively launching the findings of new market research on financial controls at Sibos, the annual conference organised by SWIFT for the financial industry.

AutoRek will be exhibiting at the event in Dubai and discussing current attitudes towards financial controls and the commercial value that can be extracted from rules, processes and frameworks. The company will also host several speaker sessions and invite attendees to debate the challenges surrounding the future of good governance.

The first community session on Wednesday 18th September at 9.30am will explore how much the financial services market could improve its performance and reduce risk if it adopted best-practice in financial controls. The second session in the Open Theatre on Thursday 19th September at 11.30am will include a presentation from AutoRek discussing why the automation of a series of financial controls is a “must have” in a fast-paced world.

“Sibos provides the financial services market with an opportunity to come together and discuss those issues that are shaping the future of the industry,” comments Gordon McHarg, managing director and co-founder of AutoRek. “It has been widely acknowledged that financial controls were lacking during the financial crisis and good governance is a vital part of effective operations. Introducing new measures that improve compliance with the latest legislative requirements, minimise risk, increase process efficiency and improve internal controls, will enable financial organisations to foster a culture of good governance. We will be using Sibos as an opportunity to explore the challenges that organisations are facing when trying to adopt best-practice and the business benefits of improving financial controls.”

AutoRek will be exhibiting at Stand D34 at Sibos. The event will be held in the Dubai World Trade Centre between 16th September 2013 – 19th September 2013.
